Liver Hemangioma
Majid Ali, M.D.
At autopsy, pathologists find hemangiomas in the liver of most people above 50 years. It is not abnormal collection of blood vessels, not a true tumor. It does not require any treatment.
Liver hemagiomas are easy to recognize on ultrasound scans and liver biopsy is not necessary.
A liver hemagioma should be seen as a birth mark and requires no treatment.
