Can Insulin Shots Be Stopped? Insulin Case Study Two

Majid Ali, M.D.

Can insulin shots be stopped? My simple answer: Yes, sometimes insulin injections taken for diabetes can be discontinued? Should you stop insulin injections if you are using them? No, this would be dangerous. How do you know if you can do so? I answer this question with a simple question: Are you willing and able to begin a serious study of the following questions:

1. What is insulin?

2. What is insulin toxicity?

3. What is insulin depletion?

4. What is your diabetes type, diabetes Type 1, Diabetes Type 2A, or

diabetes Type 2B.)

5. How can you create conditions for pancreas regeneration and increased

insulin production if you are insulin depleted?

6. What is insulin-wise eating?

7. How can you do safe bowel-blood-liver detox, and consider a path of

spiritual realism to safely discontinue insulin injection?

Case Study

A 74-yr-old 5′ 31/2 woman weighing 158 lbs. Consulted me with a four-year-n eight years history of insulin injection treatment for diabetes. She was taking nine units of Lantus insulin and 36 units of regular insulin in three divided doses daily. She had been diagnosed with sarcoidosis, GERD, hypertension, and one heart attack ( myocardial infarction). In spite of her insulin treatment, her A1c test value was 12%, indicating persistently high blood sugar levels (treatment failure in simple words).

Note that one-hour insulin came down from 314 to 47.5 (uIU/ mL) and blood glucose level fell from 240 to 183. The patient needs continued program for insulin reduction and normalization of blood glucose levels to rid herself of diabetes and any diabetes medication. Insulin therapy clearly was compounding her excess insulin (hyperinsulinism) problem.
